Ainslie - Ebden Street

This character home was extended to the side and rear of the block to take advantage of the northerly aspect. The extension consisted of a new bedroom and ensuite added to the side of house and was constructed as to appear part of the original house, plus new living areas were addded to the rear. The living areas use a concrete slab with efficient hydronic heating. All new windows use energy efficient double glazing. High R–rating insulation was installed in walls, ceilings and floors. A new efficient evacuated tube solar hot water system was also installed.
